Originally built in the late 1800s for Mr Humphrey Mildren, who was the owner of the Blacksmith store next door, Charlotte's Cottage served as a family home with his wife and children.
Today, this fully restored historic building offers guests a unique holiday rental experience in one of South Australia's most picturesque locations.

The air-conditioned cottage consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a coffee machine, and 2 bathrooms with a bath and a shower. Guests can take in the ambience of the surroundings from the verandah, out in the garden or keep warm by the fireplace on colder days.

With garden views and a small outdoor patio, Charlotte's Cottage offers guests a peaceful and relaxing setting. THE COTTAGE
Extensively renovated and extended from the original heritage Blacksmith's cottage (c1898), the house has three bedrooms, guest sitting room, main lounge, kitchen with dining. Beautifully renovated, the house is built from local limestone and features Queensland brushwood timber floors throughout.
The Main bedroom has a King bed, Second Bedroom is a Queen bed and third bedroom is 2 Single beds with option for the 2 trundles to be made up making this house able to sleep 8 guests.
The Dining Table seats 8 people comfortably with the kitchen fully equipped for your stay including a coffee machine.
In the main bedroom is the ensuite including a Spa bath and shower, second bathroom includes a shower and bath.
The house is fully reverse cycle air conditioning and heating, including Open Fire place for winter, rooms are fitted with ceiling fans and doors fitted with screens to open up the house in summer to enjoy the afternoon sea breeze.
A comfortable and cosy country cottage with all the modern amenities required to enjoy a luxury stay with heritage charm right in the Town centre and walking distance to shops, foreshore and hotel.

We are your hosts and absolutely love Charlotte's Cottage. We purchased this property in 2019 with a vision to run this as short stay accommodation offering a really unique addition to Port Broughton with our long term ambition to return to Port Broughton one day which is where Candice was born and spent her childhood growing up on a farm.
